About Us
- Chris Mann B.Vet.Med MRCVS Practice Principle: Qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London. Chris founded the practice in 1993 including carrying out renovations of the Chapel. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, with a special interest in feline medicine and sharpei dogs.
- Carol Craig BVMS MRCVS: Qualified from the Royal veterinary University of Glasgow and joined the practice in 1994. She is interested in all aspects of medicine and surgery, especially in pug dogs. She has a ginger cat caled Bob.
- Mark Thirkell B.Vet.Med MRCVS: Qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London and joined the practice in 1997. Mark has a broad veterinary interest, especially in orthopaedic surgery, diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasound) and dermatology. He has a Bengal cat called Diesel.
- Jane Nicholson BVSc MRCVS: Qualified from Bristol University and also joined the practice in 1997. Since starting a family, Jane now works part time. She has a major interest in feline medicine, cardiology and soft tissue. Tigger is the family cat.
- Lisa Fotheringham BVMS MRCVS: Qualified from the University of Glasgow. Lisa has recently rejoined the practice on a part time basis since the birth of her first baby. Lisa has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery.
- Tom Williams BVSc MRCVS: Qualified from Bristol University. Atfer 2 years in mixed practice he joining the Chapel House team in 2007. Tom is very enthusiastic about veterinary medicine and especially surgery, with a special interest in ultrasound imaging. He lives with his 3 cats, Alfie, Milly and Harry.
- Sally O'Hare B.Vet.Med MRCVS: Qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in London and joined the the veterinary team at Chapel House in 2008. Sally enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, but has a special interest in cardiology and feline medicine.
- Helen Clarke VN: Helen is our Head nurse and Practice Manager, she has been an important part of the Chapel House team since 1994. She is responsible for much of the organisation, staff rotas, nurse training, book keeping and much more. She has two cats Roony and Archie.
- Veterinary Nursing Team: We at Chapel House are very proud of our 8 qualified nurses. Most of them have trained and passed their exams with us, under the supervision of our senior nurses Helen Clarke and Cat Elliot. They are all very enthusiastic about their work and the care of the patients being their primary concern. Responsibilities include, monitoring anaesthetic during surgery, nursing patients after surgery and inpatients. The nurses also run our "in house" laboratory, run their own specialist clinics and puppy parties. Together they maintain the high standard of hygiene in the practice, which is essential for the health of our patients.
- Reception Team: Our 6 receptionists are all NVQ trained and do a fantastic job of welcoming our patients and clients to our friendly reception area, as well as manning three phone lines and organising appointments and prescriptions. They are always ready with helpful advice, and are happy to call on the nurses or vets with more technical queries.
